PENTAX INTRODUCES MARINE BINOCULAR MODEL

GOLDEN, Colorado(December 15, 2008)…PENTAX Imaging Company has announced the PENTAX Marine 7x50binocular with a built-in compass.   Aperfect companion for use on or around water, this binocular is an appealingmodel for boaters, sailors, fishing enthusiasts and more.  The PENTAX Marine model features a built-incompass with an easy-to-readscale on a liquid bearing for quick dampening and quick, accurate readings.  This built-in compass is enhanced by an LEDCompass Illuminator for low-light or night use.  Featuring the idealmagnification and objective lens diameter of 7x50, this marine binocularfeatures a rangingreticle that determines distance from an object or object size from a distance.

Thenew PENTAX Marine binocular offers the high quality construction found in all PENTAXbinoculars including nitrogen-filled, waterproof construction that thrives inthe most extreme weather conditions.  Phase-coatedand super-reflective coated BaK-4 roof prisms provide high resolution, highcontrast images and the fully multi-coated lenses maximize light transmissionand color quality.  An external lens coating prevents theelements from obscuring the view and a rubber covered exterior provides a sure grip thatprotects the internal mechanisms from damage. Helicoid eyepiece rings provide the most comfortable eye relief and theinner-focus optical design adds to the durability. The binoculars also offer longeye-relief for viewing with or without glasses and the click-stop adjustmentlocks in the right eyepiece diopter.
